Raise Funds to Help LGBT Students

Hi, all. There's going to be an auction of art by various webcomic artists in a few weeks, all in aid of an LGBT charity called the Point Foundation. As well as nobodies like me, there will be contributions from the artists of Dar, Clan of the Cats, Jane's World, Mysteries of the Arcana and I Was Kidnapped by Lesbian Pirates from Outer Space, to name but a few.

Art Auction to be Held to Raise Funds for LGBT Scholarships

June 29, 2009 – The LGBT Webcomic Charity Art Auction brings together several prominent comic and webcomic artists in an effort to raise funds to help LGBT students with the costs of higher education.

An Internet art auction will be from July 20th through July 24th. Original art pieces have been donated by several notable artists including nationally syndicated cartoonist Paige Braddock (http://comics.com/janes_world/); illustrator, artist, and animator Erika Moen (http://www.erikamoen.com/); and award-winning cartoonist Megan Rose Gedris (http://rosalarian.com/). Money raised by the auction will be donated to the Point Foundation (http://www.thepointfoundation.org/), a nonprofit organization that provides financial support, mentoring, leadership training, and hope to meritorious students who are marginalized due to sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression.
