Topic: Server Changes Soon

Wanted to let you all know I'll changing servers for the site soon. Either today or tomorrow. Which means it will be down for some of you as the nameservers change over so no one does anything in the old db.

The new server is (about 3x) faster, more secure, and I'll have more direct access, which opens a huge opportunity I'll get into more details about when I actually work out those details.

Once the change is complete, I'll be rolling out a few of the updates I've been talking about the last week.

Can't wait for the new features

Taking longer than expected. Took this opportunity to optimize some of my code. And the database migration is going to be a little more difficult than I anticipated. Hopefully I'll have SOMETHING up this night. If not, this week sometime.

Its not just me, right? This site is running really slow, right?

It's slow for me too, yes.

Ok... Well, I've been running the new server for a few days now, (testing new features) and it does seem much faster. Hopefully that stays true in actual practice. I doubt its the traffic slowing it down since its not a constant stream of a huge amount of people.

at this point, the only thing that seems slow for me is the voting button. Voting for Odd-Fish took something like a full minute for the vote to be processed.
