I was wondering, with all the advancements in screen resolution does anyone format their websites to look best at any particular resolution? Or make smaller ones, such as 800x600, not as user-friendly in comparison to, say, 1024x768? |

My old layout worked with any resolution, but my current one works best with a 1280x1024 resolution, though anything 1024x768 and above works just fine from what I've tested. |

The vast majority of my visitors use 1024x768, so I try to make sure it looks the best in that one. |

Yeah, I go for the 1024 setting, though my laptop is higher, making it sometimes difficult to see some glitches. |

I keep the content area of my site at 900 pixels wide. The EEE pcs and people with 800x resolutions will just have to scroll. |

I keep the content area of my site at 900 pixels wide. Same here. My strip measures 700 across, though, so I'm not too worried about people having to scroll too much, as the comic is mainly what they're there to see. |

After careful monitoring of people's setups via the stats for another site I run, I concluded that very few people (0.9% over the last 30 days) are using a resolution of 800x600 so I decided to abandon it. |

1024x768 is the standard display I built my site for, w/ all the important stuff above the break. |

1280x1024 FTW! But I know most people are on 1024x768. I even build websites with that resolution in mind (and with the evil IE6 in mind!). |

My comicpages are created with a size of 995x475. So they should work in everything from 1024x768 upwards just fine. |

Apparently lots of people come to my sites on 1280x1024. Mine is 1152x864, but my web designs are mostly for 1024x768. I won't design for any smaller than that too, since things look awful on 800x600 anyway. |

I even build websites with that resolution in mind (and with the evil IE6 in mind!) IE6 Is the bane of my existence! As I'm sure every one who has done any serious web design will agree. I think I've mentioned it before, but I'm proud to say that over 60% of all Visitors to WebcomicZ use FireFox. That's not typical, so you guys and gals are just better than everyone else. |
