Re: 1977 the Review

I have to agree almost completely with drunkenfools on a lot of points, particularly on Lorraine. A few months back I had to break down and ask Byron to change his Twitter icon from Lorraine to Bud, because everytime I wanted to chat with him, I had to click on a boob. XD
That's right. On some points, lesbians are no less piggish than guys.
I enjoy the nostalgia, the backstories, and the outright good humor of 1977 the Comic. I also like the fact that we get let in on some of the old jokes and innuendo that we missed out on back then because of censorship. I learn something new almost every comic, so this one is high on my recommend list.

sex, drugs and rock n roll...

A wonderful comic with everything going for it. Witty writing, great art, a kick ass bassist and rock n roll.

All set in 1977- the comic really captures the spirit of the late 70s/early 80s with style.

1977 is one of those unique comics that comes around only once in a while on the internet. A great blend of nostalgia, humor, rock-n-roll references, and of course women with large breasts, which is always a win! You should check this one out and add it to your comics reading list. It's a must read!

Okay, I’m a grown up guy and I have to admit one thing I noticed right away: women with big boobs. But honestly, what really kept my attention and helped me to go through the entire archive, are the music references in each and every post. The big majority of the strip’s titles are a reference to a song or an album from a Classic Rock band/singer from the 60’s or 70’s. I did notice a few exception such as when Byron made a reference to Abba, which actually disturbed me for a few seconds or a Title “Pop Goes the Pringles” which is a reference to a 80’s song by Men Without Hats which made me laugh a lot.

Also, what I love about the comic is the fact Byron takes the time to tell a story in his blog linked to the strip, thing that not all fellow webcomickers are doing, unfortunately.

If I had to compare 1977 to a TV Show, I would say a merge between “How I Met Your Mother” and of course, “That 70’s Show”

This is a great 'historical' webcomic. Retro-tastic! A blast from the past!
